Kemtisbury Girls Unity Madness

April 21, 2023

Well girls what can I say apart from just WOW! What a week!

For anyone who doesn’t know me I’m Sara and I am the Guest Services Supervisor at Holiday Resort Unity Reception and I have had the great honour and pleasure in becoming great friends and getting to know most of the girls.

I would also hope that you can approach me or ask any questions about the resort or any concerns or worries you may have and that you can just ask for me if you need anything.

The difference from my very first meeting last October when Kentisbury made the jump to Holiday resort unity to the second Kentisbury Vacation April 2023 was noticeable without anything being said.

The Tavern venue was literally jumping every night and well from 830am when it opened for breakfast and well into the wee hours of the night

Bingo, games, raffles prizes, jokes, laughs Laura’s birthday again ,cabaret, dancing oh and of course drinking for those that do.

Meeting a lot of new girls and faces that didn’t even go to St Auds was there first time was very uplifting

I mean I was with you all every night which when I’m working next day as well ooh dear is all I will say.

In a nutshell Kentisbury Girls you rock, I have never met such an awesome friendly group , so kick up your heels girls and get booking for

Another brilliant holiday April 2023

April 21, 2023

Yet another fantastic Trans-Vacation Kentisbury holiday at the Holiday Resort Unity near Burnham on sea on the West Somerset Coast.

In my opinion this the best Transgender social Event in the UK .

Although this is one of the longest running events in the country the format of the holiday continues to evolve which is due to the fantastic efforts of the volunteer organisers who give up so much of there spare time to arrange these events.

This time the holiday was shorter than normal being 4 days rather than the normal 7 days but the atmosphere was still the same. It was brilliant to see so many new faces who where welcomed by everyone in fact by the end of the first night it was as if they had been attending for years.

Finally all I can say is that if the next Holiday is half as good as this one the Organisers deserve a medal.

Amazing fun

April 7, 2023

Iv’e have had the pleasure of the first weeks at Kentisbury Grange with Barny, Dorine, Caroline, Benson, Goat and all those dogs and ducks. since those early Day we moved on to St Audries Bay fond for us when Kentisbury closed. Kelly Jill, Kathy, Sylvia, Christine, Rita and Ruby made a great job of getting St Auds to take us in for the next 22years, along the way others joined and left the organisers Kelly T, Sarah Barbie Mick, Joan, Chloe Barbie Sarah D and Laura Heels. Now at Holiday Resort Unity and updating the whole approach to Kentisbury we have become Trans-vacation now it’s Laura and myself and we’re loving the events. It’s great to see so many new members turning up and having a great time and making these weeks the fun weeks they are. Keep it going everyone we love it!!

We would like to thank Sarah& Laura for letting us join this wonderful group, we first met at St Audries where we had a caravan, we have made fantastic friends and have regularly met up and kept in touch. We went to Brean last October and rented a caravan for the week,we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it’s a brilliant venue for everyone,so much so we booked straight away for April and October. We wish Sarah and Laura continued success with the Kentisbury group, it’s well deserved after all there hard work,we the O.A.P.s look forward to many more happy fun filled visits

Freedom to be myself

March 27, 2023

I started to attend these week in the early Kentisbury days, the Venue was a very small family run site and very basic, having stayed at all of the Kentisbury venues over the past 3 decades, I can only say they have improved with every passing year. The staff at the venues have always been very welcoming, and friendly. I was at first a bit apprehensive about mixing with the public but soon realised they were just as unsure of us as we were of them. St Audries Bay was and eye opener for me with caravan Owners wanting to be a part of our weeks and actually making a point of attending the Kentisbury weeks at the camp in favour of shall I just call them the vanilla weeks.

As with most things times move on and some changes do come along, the first event at Brean had some teething issues but So did St Audries, I’m sure these will be sorted out and I can’t wait to have 2 full weeks again after such a long 2 years of covid and nothing running.

Thanks to Kentisbury I found the freedom to be me.

Sexcilia Love-seat.

Cheers!!!

As a long time dresser who only ever dressed at home I was yearning for the opportunity to get out and about, spread those wings as it were. One evening whilst on TVChix I saw a notice about something called Kentisbury at St Audrie’s Bay. Intrigued, I read more and decided this could just be what I was looking for. So I took the plunge, booked it for four nights and drove down in my motorhome.

On my first evening I very nervously walked in to The Sundowner Club to be greeted by the sight of loads of other like minded ladies who very soon made me feel very welcome and at ease. Since that first visit I went twice every year until the world stopped with the Covid pandemic and all the lockdowns.

Sadly, when normality returned our time at St Audrie’s came to an end due to changes with their accommodation facilities. I and a lot of other girls though this was the end of the Kentisbury story but due to the magnificent efforts of our two organisers, Sarah Barbie and Laura Heels this was not to be. They found a new venue, Holiday Resort Unity at Brean in Somerset. Whilst this venue is different from St Audrie’s it has proven to be a very good choice and will most certainly get better over time.

So, to all you ladies who want to get out and about in all your finery, meet like minded people and make great friends then just go for it. I for one have made many great friends, better in fact than most I have in my ‘other’ world and have never regretted that first tentative step. Welcome to Kentisbury, and mine’s a pint of San Miguel when we meet in the bar, cheers.

An Amazing Experience

March 18, 2023

Hi I’m Caz been attending kentisbury for a few years at the old location near Watchet in Somerset I still regard myself as a newbie as the event to my knowledge has been going for decades! And originally it was close to where I live not that I ever knew back then. So myself I guess I’m a part time crossdresser that enjoys socialising and meeting others for a good natter with usually a glass of wine, enough about me lol.

I guess the first time i attended kentisbury was maybe 7 years ago albeit only for a couple of nights for me it was my first experience of being out from closed doors I still remember it now and omg what mixture of amazing emotions, it just felt right, the atmosphere the people the setting and above all extremely safe and welcomed by all. Over the years I’ve attended made amazing friends and had so many laughs and great times ventured to the local towns villages and enjoyed just chilling on the beach, I guess there’s something for all young and old, I can’t recommend kentisbury enough to anyone who wishes to have a holiday in a safe environment amongst lovely folk, and not forgetting the organisers without them and there hard work kentisbury wouldn’t exist to this day so hats off to them volunteering there time for free to make this possible.

So wether stepping out for the first time or just looking for a trans holiday Kentisbury is a must
